New Delhi, June 27

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), probing the NEET question paper leak case, has started the process to take the accused into its custody for interrogation from Bihar.

The CBI is investigating six cases related to the NEET paper leak. Of the six cases, one each is from Bihar, Gujarat, and Maharashtra, while three are from Rajasthan.

Bihar Economic Offenses Unit (EOU) submitted its 80-page FIR to the CBI. The Economic Offences Unit also submitted its report of about 2,000 pages to CBI.

After receiving the documents, the CBI visited the Learn Play School and Boys Hostel located in Khemnichak, Patna. The agency also reached the society in Patna where prime suspect Sikandar Yadavendu, a junior engineer at Danapur town council, resides.

The CBI team also visited the government guest house in Patna where the NEET question paper was allegedly leaked. The guest house was allegedly booked for Sikandar Yadavendu by RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav's aide Pritam.

The federal probe agency will also probe the role of Hazaribagh's Oasis School. The EOU report mentioned that the booklet box received by Oasis School was tampered with. The role of the school's National Testing Agency (NTA) observer, centre superintendent and principal has been found suspicious. A staffer of Hazaribagh-based Blue Dart courier is also absconding, officials added.
