CISF costable posted at Kalpakkam Nuclear Power Plant dies by gunshot wound

He was on board a bus and travelling to Bengaluru and suddenly found dead in a pool of blood

New Delhi, May 21

A Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable deputed at the Kalpakkam Nuclear Power Plant in Tamil Nadu died from a gunshot wound. 

The CISF constable was identified as Ravi Kiran (37). 

The police said that he was going to his hometown in Bengaluru from Kalpakkam in a bus, when the incident took place.

As per the details, Ravi Kiran had boarded the staff transport bus after completing his night shift. There were other passengers on the bus who woke up after hearing the sound of a gunshot and found Ravikiran in a pool of blood.

The bus was immediately driven to the hospital inside the Kalpakkam Power Plant, where Ravi Kiran was declared brought dead

A probe has been initiated to ascertain whether Ravi Kiran shot himself or if the weapon went off by accident.
