Delhi Police arrest three who robbed people after inviting on dates

New Delhi, June 2
The Delhi Police have arrested three persons accused of robbing people after inviting them on dates. The accused were held after a gunfight.
The incident left two of them injured.
The accused were identified as Sameer, 21, Tarun, 23, and Kunal, 23. Sameer and Tarun sustained injuries during the retaliatory firing.
DCP (Northeast) Ashish Mishra The police teams received a tip-off regarding the presence of individuals involved in recent robberies. They were allegedly planning another crime near 5th Pustha Road when they were spotted.
The team soon reached the Yamuna Khadar area where they spotted three suspicious individuals. The accused tried to run towards the forest area. When the police team instructed them to stop for checking, the suspects opened fire in an attempt to escape.
The police allegedly fired back in self-defence and arrested them.
The police have seized two country-made pistols and three live cartridges were recovered from their possession.
