CP Gurugram directs police stations to organise police-public meets on first Sundays

In an initiative to boost police-public partnership, the Gurugram CP has asked all the police stations to organize a police-public dialogue program in the police station from 11 AM to 1 PM on the first Sunday of every month.
The officials said that Gurugram Police is available 24x7 up to the police station level to listen to the complaints of the general public, but now in the police-public dialogue programs, the SHOs of the police stations interact with the people in the police stations on the first Sunday of every month to discuss community problems, their solutions and suggestions.
Panch-Sarpanch of the police station area, officials of RWAs, social organizations and other dignitaries will also be invited in these programs, officials said.
The police public communication programs will help a lot in public cooperation in crime prevention, women safety, drug free society, awareness about curbing cyber fraud, making effective traffic plans etc
The concerned Deputy Commissioner of Police and Assistant Commissioner of Police will also participate in these programs so that the spirit of mutual cooperation and coordination between the police and the general public can be taken to a different level.
