New Delhi, November 22

The Delhi Crime Branch held a national-level shooter and others for allegedly running an inter-state arms supply network for the Jitender Gogi gang.

The accused shooter has been identified as Himmat Deshwal (27). Deshwal was arrested from a jail in Bhiwani, where he was lodged for opening fire in connection with a road rage incident earlier this year.

The other accused have been identified as Deepak Sharma (22), Veer Singh alias Akash (20), Sagar Rana (21), Deepak Mudgal alias Panchhi (25) all residents of Khera Kalan in Delhi.

The crime branch mentioned that Deshwal had allegedly arranged cartridges for the gang members. The arms were procured from Bihar and the cartridges arranged by Deshwal were supplied to gang members Sagar Rana and Panchhi, who then distributed the same among the shooters of the gang.

Deepak Sharma and Veer were instructed by Gogi gang leaders Kapil alias Kallu Khera, Deepak Boxer, and Yogesh Tunda to go to Bihar and procure arms from certain suppliers. Deshwal, on the other hand, used his contacts to procure cartridges at a discount, police added.

The police seized 13 automatic pistols, one revolver, and 34 live cartridges from the accused.
