The Delhi Crime Branch arrested a woman allegedly a part of an interstate drug trafficking racket for allegedly selling heroin in the city.
The accused was identified as Nazma Imran (35) from Bareilly and also resident of Noida and Jamila Sheikh (27) from Bhalswa.
DCP (Narcotics Cell) Chinmoy Biswal stated that the womem accused are a part of an interstate drug peddling racket and brining in the contraband for sale in Delhi.
The crime branch seized 300 GM's of heroin and cash of Rs. 40,000 at the time of their arrest.
The narcotics cell of the crime branch got secret information that one woman who is indulging in supply of heroin in Delhi would be coming on Powerhouse road at Dallupuranto supply heroin to someone between 2 to 3 pm.
The police team laid a trap near the bus stop on Bhagwan Mahavir Swami Marg, Dallupura where at about 2.10 p.m. they saw one woman coming from Vasundhara Enclave side walking on the road. She was identified as drug supplier Nazma who came there and started waiting for someone near footpath of Multi Gym Bus stop.
The officials added that after few minutes, another woman was seen coming from Dallupura red light side walking on the road and met Nazma near the said bus stop. Both the womem exchanged a bag and cash and when they were about to leave, they were overpowered by the police team with the help of women officials.
According to the crime branch, Nazma revealed during interrogation that one of her relatives namely Javed is indulging in Heroin supply for a long time and earned good money hence, she also started supplying drugs after taking the same from Javed. Last year she came in touch with one Sheikh Shafizul and started supplying to him. However after his arrest, she started supplying heroin to Jamila. She used to sell Heroin at Rs. 800/- per gram to Jamila and in the last few months she had sold heroin to Jamia several times.
Jamila's husband Sheikh Shafizul is involved in 39 cases of murder, attempt to murder, robbery, arms act, hurt, theft, snatching, NDPS Act etc. She disclosed that her husband used to sell the contraband Heroin and earned good money. Last year he was arrested in a case of NDPS Act and few months back he was again arrested in a case of hurt. Her husband gave her the mobile number of drug supplier Nazma from whom she started procuring Heroin and sold the same to individual drug addicts, officials added..
The narcotics cell of the crime branch is further investigating the case. The accused have been booked under the NDPS Act.
