DELHI POLICE ALL WOMEN PCR VANS WILL MARCH FROM INDIA GATE ON WOMEN'S DAY

New Delhi, March 5

The Delhi Police all women PCR (police control room) vans will March from India Gate to Police Head Quarters to instill trust and sense of security among women in Delhi about the women friendly approach of Delhi Police. 

A fleet of 15 all women PCR vans will March on the International Women's Day on March 8. The PCR vans will have all women staff who have been working on PCR duties and attending all emergency calls across the city.

DCP (PCR) Esha Pandey stated that women
omen police personnel are working with the male counterparts shoulder to shoulder in all the sphere of policing. The carcase rally is aimed to generate more awareness about the police's efforts among women. 

The officer while stating more about the women PCR vans said during the lock down period, PCR vans shifted 997 pregnant women to various hospitals.  In nine sensitive cases, live birth took place in PCR vans 

The women who gave birth to babies in the PCR van will also take part in the rally. The 

Delhi Police Commissioner SN Shrivastava will also felicitate those women and the children born in the PCRs.  

DCP Pandey added that women police officials are being deployed as PCR vans in-charge across the national capital and also in Central Police Control Room to recognize and celebrate their achievement on “Women’s Day”. 

In addition to that all vans will display banners will be placed near the static Prakram Vans regarding celebration of Women’s Day. 

The police are also organising Bada Khana in the Community Centre at Model Town to encourage & celebrate achievements of all women in PCR.
