The project will start first as a pilot in Rohtak and Gurgugram and later in all cities of the state.

The project aims to provide sense of security among women so that they feel entirely safe at workplaces, educational institutions and in public transport. The police would coordinate with local cab unions, auto unions and public transporters.

According to the police, the vulnerable spots where women’s safety could be at risk, such as Metro stations, places where the women hire public trandport like auto rickshaw and cabs will be fiocused. The drivers of cabs and suto rickshaws would be sensitised. The police are courrently studying the pitfalls and gaps to bring in tighter security.

The security guards and CCTV cameras outside educational institutions would be deployed to provide students with a secure atmosphere. The frequency of police patrolling at sensitive places would be increased. In cases of harassment, immediate action would be taken after registering an FIR.
