DELHI POLICE ARREST A NOTORIOUS CHEATER WHO CONNED WOMEN IN FAKE RELATIONSHIPS

The Delhi Police's Dwarka District nabbed a notorious cheater who trapped women in fake friendships and relationships.
The accused was identified as Mohit Goyal.
DCP Dwarka District Santosh Meena stated that the accused used to trap girls for money in the name of availing treatment for his family members. After extracting money, he used to trap new targets.
As per the case details, a girl lodged a complaint stating that one person Mohit Goyal met her last year in October month regarding a loan matter. After that, she became his friend. After that Mohit Goyal along with another person namely Shanky met her near Himalaya Sagar Restaurant and told her that he needs money for the treatment of Cancer of his nephew. After that complainant on the emotional ground sent the money to Mohit Goyal, some in cash and some through online mode and he also got financed two mobile in her name and took the delivery by himself and after that sold the mobile phone to another person and fled away. After that when the complainant demanded the money he sent an edited/fake screenshot of the money transfer.
The police added that Mohit used to become friends with the innocent girls then he emotionally blackmails the girl on the pretext of serious illness of his near and dear child and after that demand money from them and after taking the money change the mobile numbers.
The police further said that as the accused continuously changed his mobile numbers and location, a special team was formed to trace him.
The police stated that the accused is suspected to have cheated many girls and extracted money from them. The police are further investigating the case to ascertain his involvements in other criminal/cheating cases. All the vital clues and loose ends are being concluded.
