DELHI POLICE ARREST THREE WHO ROBBED A TEACHER ON KNIFE POINT IN KALINDI KUNJ

New Delhi, March 6

The Delhi Police arrested three who allegedly robbed a school teacher at knife point in Kalindi Kunj of South Delhi.

The accused were identified as Hilal (20), Hira (22) and Dharamveer (22) all from Madanpur Khadar. The accused also have a historysheet of robberies and theft. 

DCP (South East) RP Meena stated that the accused had been targetting pedestrians in the area and used to assault them for robberies. 

According to the police, the victim Adnaan was going to Kanchan Kunj to give tuitions to his student and on the way near God Grace School he was attacked by four unknown persons from behind and was dragged into the bushes. His mobile phone was robbed by those four unknown persons forcefully by putting a knife on his neck.

The Kalindi Kunj police put the place of incident under watch and surveilled upon suspects roaming in the area. The CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity of place of incidence were also checked thoroughly. The police received information on March 5 that three young boys are being seen near Khadar Puliya with wooden stick and knife in order to commit robbery. 

During the interrogation, the accused disclosed that they were reportedly drug addicts and committed robberies for the same.  The police seized knives, sticks and mobile phones from the accused. 

The police have booked the accused under Section 34 and 392 of the Indian Penal Code.
