DELHI POLICE ARRESTED A SHARP SHOOTER IN MURDER OF A BUSINESSMAN

The Delhi Police Dwarka District arrested a sharp shooter of a dreaded criminal Nandu for alleged murder of a businessman outside Najafgarh police station in Delhi.
The accused were identified as sharp shooter Manoj Rathi. Rathi is an associate of gangster Amit Gulia and Ankush alias Bhalu.
DCP Dwarka Santosh Meena stated that Gulia and Ankush are involved in several cases of murder, gang rivalry, car jacking, robbery and extortion. The accused are in judicial custody under the MCOCA Act.
Meena further stated that Gulia and Ankush are active members of Jyoti Baba and Nandu gang who allegedly run an extortion gang from Tihar Jail.
As per the case details, the Dwarka police had received information about an incident on March 7 in respect of gun-shot infront of Najafgarh police station.
The victim was shifted to Vikas Hospital in Najafgarh but was declared brought dead. On inspection of the dead body, it was revealed that the cause of death is gun-shot. The police had registered a case of murder murder the Indian Penal Code and Arms Act.
During investigation deceased was identified as one Sushil a resident of Neelwal. During investigation it is also revealed that the deceased is a property dealer in the area of Dwarka.
The police added that during the hunt for culprits, the help of technical surveillance was taken and found that murder was committed by the two unknown motorcyclists. Both number plates were removed by the culprits before committing the murder. Family members of the deceased were also examined but none of the clues found about the culprits. Hence, local informers were deployed to nab the culprit.
The police further said, on March 11, when the team was present in the area of Jharoda Kalan to search the culprits, a secret informer informed that one person of Nandu Gang, having illegal arms is roaming in the area of Jharoda Kalan. A raiding team was constituted and Manoj Rathi was apprehended from near Ganda Nala Puliya, Bahadurgrah-Najafgarh Road.
During physical search, one sophisticated pistol and three live cartridges were recovered from his possession. During interrogation Rathi disclosed that he is a resident Jatwara in Bahadurgrah of Haryana. Gulia is his close friend. In the year of 2016, a murder was committed Gulia and his associates in the village Ghummanheda, Delhi. At that time he was running a guest house at Jaipur in Rajasthan. After the murder Nandu, Amit Guliya and associates used to reach at his guest house and stay there some days. After some time they were arrested. Later on due to continuing loss in the business of the guest house, same was shut-down by him and came at the native village. Yet his association with Gulia and his associates continued and they decided to together start a new business.
The police further said that two months ago, he was given an offered to collect the money from the weekly market vendors was given. On Gulia's instructions, he reportedly met to one Dharmendra. Both wanted to indulge to collect the extortion money. They tried to collect the money from the Shani Bazar Venders of Sector 1 Dwarka but one Sushil opposed them.
The police stated that on Gulia's instructions, he went to Sahrasa and Aara in Bihar to purchase the weapons but due to price dispute same were not purchased and they returned from Bihar.
The police further said that on March 7, photo and vehicle details were also provided by Ankush through WhatsApp. On his instruction, he alongwith Dharmendra reached Surkhpur Road in Najafgarh, where two weapons were provided by Ankush through one unknown person. Later on, as instruction of Ankush, he alongwith his associate Dharmendra reached Delhi Gate Najafgarh by his motorcycle make FZ and followed the Fortuner car of Sushil. When he stopped his Fortuner car near Najafgarh police station, they fired with the intention to kill him and fled away from the spot.
The police added that Rathi also disclosed that at the time of murder he is riding the motorcycle and his associate Dharmendra was online through video call with Gulia.
After committed the murder, they fled away through small streets with the intention to conceal themselves from CCTV footage.
In order to evade police watch, they reached Rajeev Chowk, Gurugram through Doultabad, Agwanpur, Laxman Vihar, Sector-4, Gurgram Haryana. After that, they reached at Mahipalpur via NH-8. Wearing clothes were changed and Used motorcycle was left at Mahipalpur by them. Thereafter they took a cab and reached Najafgarh to check that target Sushil has been dead or still under treatment. After confirming Sushil's death, they informed Guliya telephonically and went to Bahadurgrah in Haryana.
The police are further investigating the case to see more involvements of the accused in other cases.
