Delhi Police arrested four persons in murder case of BJP worker Jitender Chaudhary in Delhi

New Delhi, April 25

The Delhi Police arrested four who allegedly murdered BJP worker in Mayur Vihar of East Delhi few days ago by firing at him outside his house.

Jitender Chaudhary worked with the BJP as a district mantri and also ran a construction business. 

The accused were identified as Ujjwal (26) and Saurabh Kataria (18) from Mayur Vihar Phase III and Raja (22) and Bittu (29) from Gharoli Village. 

Ujjwal was angry after Chaudhary allegedly slapped him before his girlfriend over a monetary issue.

DCP (East) Priyanka Kashyap stated that the assailants called Jitender Chaudhary outside his house on the pretext of work and shot him dead. The CCTV footage showed the presence of three-four men at the spot. The police mapped the footage to trace their movements and identified and apprehended four persons. 

The accused also confessed to their crime after the arrest. The police added that the accused was to take revenge from the leader. 

On the day of the incident, Chaudhary was shifted to Metro Hospital in Noida, where he was declared dead on arrival.
