Delhi Police arrested interstate gangsters of Nikhil-Dheeraj gang from Haryana

New Delhi, July 12

The gangwar between Nikhil-Dheeraj Gangs over illegal mining of Yamuna sand at  Mehandipur Haryana has been going on and so far three murders have taken place in the ongoing gangwar. The police zeroed in on the gang and held two key gang members. 

The accused were identified as Ravi alias Monu and Parvesh both from Sonipat, Haryana. 

The Delhi police east district had received information about the inter-state gang of Nikhil of Sonipat who has been fighting over illegal Yamuna Sand mining with Dheeraj gang that they were coming to dispose off robbed Brezza Vitara and purchasing illegal arms from the money so raised. The police laid a trap and 

intercepted the duo. Nikhil managed to escape from the spot. The police seized   one country made pistol of .315 bore with four live cartridges and a Brezza Vitara car, which was robbed in highway robbery of Panipat. 

According to the police, the accused are involved in illegal sand mining of Yamuna. During this work, their rivalry with one Dheeraj gang of same place intensified. They wanted to purchase good quality illegal weapon for use against their opponents in gang war after selling the Breeza Vitara.

There are other five members in the gang namely Ravi, Parvesh, Zahid, Vishal, Vishal, officials added.
