DELHI POLICE ARRESTED THREE, SEIZED 15 KG OF CANNABIS
New Delhi, March 9
The Shahdara District of Delhi Police arrested three including one transgender for alleged peddling of over 15 kgs of cannabis.
The accused were identified as Rashi who is a transgender (30) from Mayur Vihar, Neeraj (29) Khodacolony in Ghaziabad and Dainy (25) of Hapur in UP.
The narcotics cell of Shahdara police received information that a gang of drug peddlers are frequenting the area of MS Park. After surveillance was mounted on them, the team learnt that they were using a WagonR car for supplying drugs in the area.
The police team laid a trap under Shahdara flyover. The police stopped the car in the pretext of checking however the driver tried to flee away. The team after chasing the car apprehended three persons including a transgender who were carrying three bags.
The police recovered 15 Kg of the contraband from the bags of the accused. The accused have been booked under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
