Delhi Police arrests a man in Shahdara for sexually assaulting a dog
People for Animals filed a police complaint on April 10 after a purported video of the incident was circulated on social media

New Delhi, April 14
A 36-year-old man was arrested in Shahdara for allegedly sexually assaulting a stray dog.
The accused was identified as Naushad, a native of Bihar, was arrested the same day.
The incident came to light when a member of People for Animals filed a police complaint on April 10 after a purported video of the incident was circulated on social media.
The police said Naushad allegedly admitted to committing the act when he was drunk on April 7.
A case was registered under Section 325 (mischief by killing or maiming an animal) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Section 11(a) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
