Delhi Police books AAP leader Amantullah Khan for MCC violation

New Delhi, February 5
The Delhi Police Tuesday booked Aap Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Amantullah Khan and his supporters for allegedly violating the Model Code of Conduct in Jamia Nagar area.
A purported video clip was circulating on social media where Khan was seen arguing with the policemen.
The police stated that Okhla MLA and a few party workers were campaigning at about 1 am. When the police officers inquired and objected to the gathering, an argument broke out between them.
The police have registered the First Information Report (FIR) under sections 223 and 3/5 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and Section 126 of the Representation of People Act, which prohibits public meetings during 48 hours ending with an hour fixed for the conclusion of polls.
