Delhi Police Commissioner held review meeting to take stock of action regarding Corona appropriate behaviour

New Delhi, April 4

Delhi Police Commissioner S N Shrivastava held Crime and Covid Review meeting through video conferencing to discuss the law and order situation and to take stock of action taken with regard to guidelines on Covid appropriate behaviour.  

The CP reviewed Covid Prosecution and status of vaccination in different districts and units. Crime against women, kidnapping and POCSO cases were analysed along with other cases registered and their disposal.

The CP Delhi also emphasized on conducting capsule courses for SHOs and IOs in order to sharpen their investigative skill and keep them abreast of latest legal and scientific aspects of investigation. Appraisal of action plan vis-a-vis targets  for each police station was also discussed and district heads were asked  to closely monitor the same. 

The CP discussed the ongoing process of listing of criminals and strategy to keep vigil on them were discussed along with action plan to keep tab on jail/bail released criminals. All were stressed upon to keep an eye on criminals whose bail/parole periods are nearing close.  The CP, Delhi also examined status of complaints in the Integrated Complaints Management System and asked to ensure speedy disposal of complaints. The status of usage of e Beat Book was reviewed and concerned were directed to encourage the constabulary to use optimal technology for quick and effective results. 

In addition to that, the performance of DIUs was reviewed along with that of Distt Cyber Cells. The CP, Delhi was apprised of steps taken to reform JCLs through YUVA & other community efforts. District heads also presented the number of cases allotted to Legal Consultants and security audit residential areas. The action against noise pollution in pursuance directions of Hon'ble NGT was surveyed with directions of strict implementation.
