Delhi Police developed a green corridor to supply oxygen at GTB Hospital

New Delhi, April 24

A major crisis was averted at GTB hospital by the promptness of Delhi Police. The fate of 700 patients at the hospital was at stake with shortage oxygen at the hospital.

A message and call was received from the GNCTD appointed Nodal officer from GTB hospital, Vikram Singh, IAS for police assistance for swift transport of two tankers from Inox plant Modinagar, Ghaziabad to GTB hospital.

The tanker and driver details were shared and immediately the police swung into action. 

The officials said that DCP Shahdara immediately contacted DIG Ghaziabad and SP Rural and started the coordination for swift transportation with police escort. 

Meanwhile, a Delhi police eam was dispatched from which met the UP Police team midway and took over the responsibility and escorted the tanker through shortest possible route

The tanker finally reached GTB hospital within an hour of dispatch with green corridor.

The officials stated that the  hospital administration thanked DCP Shahdara and his team profusely for this timely help which saved 700 lives at stake. r
