New Delhi, April 17
The Delhi Police Dwarka District busted a fake call centre that allegedly lured citizens with providing business loan at low interest rate.
As per the case details, on April 14, an information was received from a secret informer regarding a fake call center operating in a residential building near Pillar No 770 Sewak Park in Uttam Nagar.
The Dwarka police conducted a raid wherein eight female staff were found working.
The police stated that the callers were hired by Deepak on Rs 7000/- monthly salary and 5% commission basis who call and cheated to allure people on the promise of providing cheap business loan at low-interest rate.
The police registered a case under Sections 419, 420, 34 of the Indian Penal Code and 66 (D) IT Act at Bindapur police station.
During the investigation, the electronic equipments were taken into police custody. 8 girls were bound down and released after serving notice U/S 41(a) CrPC.
The police seized15 mobile phones and one laptop and 13 notebooks containing personal data of millions of persons, police added.
