Delhi Police Dwarka District reunited one missing girl child with her family

New Delhi, April 13

A teen girl was reunited with her family who had allegedly gone missing from her home in Dabri. 

The family of the victim who is 17-years-old had lodged a complaint with the police that their daughter was missing. 

The officials said that the police roped in to the information received from the parents of the missing girl child. They used technical surveillance conducted search in various shelter homes, temples, parks, nearby locality and all steps were taken up to get any clue about the missing child. The police hunted for the victim also on common areas, roads and streets in the neighbourhood. 

The officials added that after several efforts the Jamia Nagar police station, while inquiring about the girl at Batla House and Jamia Nagar, received information about an Instagram post about alleged abduction of girl of her same age. The cyber cell of Dwarka District sprung to action and traced the girl through the Instagram and Facebook post. 

DCP Dwarka, Santosh Meena stated that the girl was sent for a medical check up and her statements were recorded under CrPc Section 161. There was no foul play found in the missing of the girl.
