Delhi Police SHO shunted out, seized drugs worth Rs. 2.5 crores disappear from a police station

New Delhi, June 17
The Delhi Police shunts out SHO and two others after an inquiry on the disappearance of around three kilograms of drugs worth Rs 2.5 crore recovered during a murder case probe in Delhi’s Kishan Garh Police Station.
As per the case details, on June 9, police initiated a probe into a murder case after the body of a Nepalese man was found in the Kishangarh area. When police reached his house, they recovered around three kilograms of drugs worth Rs 2.5 crore, which was then kept at the police station. Between June 9 and June 10, the drugs could not be found by the Investigating Officer (IO) at the police station, who then reported the matter to the SHO. The IO informed DCP South West Amit Goel, among other senior officials.
An inquiry was initiated against the Kishangarh police station SHO and two others. The SHO was moved to the police lines.
Last month, a head constable was arrested for allegedly stealing Rs 51 lakh in cash and two boxes of gold from a high-security malkhana. Head Constable Khurshid who was formerly deployed with the Special Cell was one of the security personnel at the same malkhana where he allegedly committed the theft till May 24.
