Delhi Police Special Cell arrested four from international drug racket

New Delhi, July 2
The Delhi Police Special Cell arrested four key persons from an international drug racket and seized heroin worth Rs. 16 lakhs from them.
The arrested men have been identified as John from Nigeria, Anim Paschal from Ghana, Banto and her husband, Raj Kumar." He added that his team not only seized 4 kilograms of high-grade heroin but also Rs 1.5 lakh cash from the four accused.
The special cell stated that the syndicate was found active in states like Punjab and Haryana apart from Delhi-NCR. The gang was busted when a tip-off was received from sleuths in the northern range of the cell. The police used technical and human surveillance to gather intelligence about the members of the gang.
DCP (Special Cell) Sanjeev Kumar Yadav stated that specific information regarding two members of the cartel was also received by police recently, as per which, they would come to receive huge consignments of drugs from African nationals near the national capital's Uttam Nagar.
The police laid a trap and arrested them. During the arrest, the police seized heroin that has worth of Rs. 16 lakhs in the international market and cash of Rs. 1.5 lakhs from the accused.
