Delhi Police Special Cell arrested most wanted gangster Shahrukh of Hasim Baba gang

New Delhi, April 27

The Delhi Police Special Cell arrested the most wanted gangster Shahrukh who was carrying the highest reward on his name declared by Delhi Police. 

The accused Shahrukh (28) is a resident Madangir in Delhi. 

Shahrukh was the last major criminal of the Lawrence Bishnoi – Kala Jathedi – Sampat Nehra – Hashim Baba alliance.

The Special Cell carried out an operation with the Counter Intelligence team. The pursuit for Shahrujh lasted for over six months with the arrest of Delhi’s topmost wanted criminal Shahrukh along with his three other wanted associates.

As per his historysheet, he is involved in 10 criminal cases of murder, attempt to murder, extortion etc.

In June 2020, he had committed the murder of Yogesh, a resident of Dakshinpuri, Delhi, in a broad daylight shooting incident in the area of Preet Vihar. 

In March 2021, Shahrukh, along with his aides, had opened fire at one Amit Madrasi, a close associate of gangster Ravi Gangwal. However, Amit Madrasi managed to escape in spite of receiving gunshot injuries.

In March 2021, in his continuing rivalry with Ravi Gangwal, Shahrukh located one Kunal, who was brother of Ravi Gangwal’s closest aide Sunny. Kunal was brutally murdered by pumping 24 bullets into his body in the area of PS Ambedkar Nagar.

In April 2021, on his murderous spree, Shahrukh killed one Farman, a rival of his mentor-gangster Hashim Baba, in the area of Mandawali.

In May 2021, Shahrukh, along with his associates, murdered another rival namely Kasim in the area of Jafrabad.

In March 2022, Shahrukh attempted the murder of Sunny, whose brother Kunal had earlier been eliminated at his hands in the area of Ambedkar Nagar. However, Sunny managed to escape from the scene. Following this, Shahrukh went up to the house of Sunny and opened fire at the house in order to intimidate the family members of Sunny. On finding one of Sunny’s friends standing nearby, shots were fired at him also. This whole sequence of events has terrorized areas of South Delhi for quite some time.  

Shahrukh was the leader of juvenile criminals working for the notorious Shakti Naidu gang of South Delhi. After Shakti Naidu was neutralized in Uttar Pradesh, he joined hands with gangster Hashim Baba of North East Delhi.

In the backdrop of Covid-19 pandemic, he was released from jail on an emergency parole in May 2020. While he was out on parole, his mentors Hashim @ Baba & Rashid alias Cablewala were arrested. Thereafter, he disappeared from the police radar in order to take reins of the syndicate and committed a spree of heinous crimes.

In later developments, Hashim Baba, while in jail, joined hands with Lawrence Bishnoi – Kala Jathedi – Jitender @ Gogi gangs. From then, Shahrukh became an indispensable member of this larger criminal alliance.

The Special Cell had received information that Shahrukh was going to arrive Chattarpur in a Bolero car. The team laid a trap and apprehended him. The accused persons were found in possession of sophisticated firearms and live ammunition and accordingly, a case under the provisions of Arms Act was registered has been registered against them.

The Special Cell is further probing the case.
