DELHI POLICE SPECIAL CELL ARRESTED TWO KEY MEMBERS OF INTERSTATE DRUGS SUPPLY RACKET
New Delhi, March 18
The Delhi Police Special Cell arrested two alleged drug peddlers who were a part of an interstate gang that was allegedly pumping heroin in Delhi through North Eastern states and states like Bihar and West Bengal.
The accused were identified as Shajad of Hapur in UP and Amir Khan of Seelampur.
The officials stated that the special teams working on activities of drug peddlers found out that an interstate drugs syndicate is active. During further surveillance, it was transpired that illegal drugs is mainly pumped in Delhi from the areas of Bihar, West Bengal, Manipur and UP besides other areas of the country by the members of this syndicate. The special mounted secret and discreet watch was kept upon activities of members of this syndicate.
The officials added that acting on specific input that the wo drugs suppliers of this syndicate would come near Majnu ka Tilla, Delhi for supplying of big consignment of illegal drugs, the special laid a trap near Majnu ka Tilla and Wazirabad Flyover.
The officials added that a white color XUV500 car No. UP16AM4224 stopped on the road near Wazirabad Flyover. Two persons disembarked from the said car, one carrying a black color bag and another one was carrying a Blue color bag. Both were identified by the secret informer as Shajad and Amir. Both of them were apprehend by police after following due procedure. Three kilograms of heroin was recovered from Shajad while two kilograms was recovered from Amir. On searching the said XUV500 Car No. UP16AM4224, secret cavities were found made in the Windows and under footrest mats, from which another 10 kilograms of Heroin was recovered.
The officials stated that Shajad used to work as a bouncer earlier where he came in contact with one Nadeem and it is on his instance that he started supplying drugs for easy money. He used to bring consignments of Heroin from Sasharam, Bihar and further used to supply same to different vendors at different places in Delhi, NCR and UP on the directions of Nadeem. He used to earn atleast Rs one lakhs for each trip.
Amir is distant relative of Nadeem and used to fetch atleast Rs. 50,000/- per trip. The accused disclosed that Heroin is being pumped in Northeastern States of India through porous Indo-Myanmar border from where it is supplied to West Bengal, Bihar and other eastern states. They further disclosed that they take consignments of crude Heroin from Bihar as there is negligible chance of mixing impurities in crude heroin as compared to refined Heroin.
The officials further said that crude Heroin is processed at destined places in UP and MP to refined form and then only it is distributed through their vendors at different parts of Delhi, NCR and other parts of country.
The special cell is further investigating the case to apprehend other associates.
