Delhi Police Special Cell held absconding criminal from Rajasthan who was carrying a reward

Delhi Police Special Cell held absconding criminal who was carrying a reward of Rs. 50,000 on his head. He was wanted in seven heineious crime cases.
The accused was identified as Jitender from Paschim Vihar in Delhi along with his associate Jaikishan Verma from Jwalapuri Camp in Delhi.
The accused Jitender was apprehended from near Khatik Mohalla, Transport Nagar, Jaipur, Rajasthan whereas his associate namely Jaikishan Verma was apprehended from Nihal Vihar.
The Special Cell had received information that Jitender, who is wanted in two cases of attempt to murder and evading his arrest since December 2020 is residing somewhere close to his grandfather’s house in Dausa, Rajasthan. Manual surveillance was kept around his grandfather’s house in Dausa. After consistent efforts of several days, house rented by his wife was identified in Dausa. The police conducted a raid but he had already left the house sensing police pressure. Subsequently information was received that he had shifted to Jaipur. The police zeroed in on the accused and held him from Khatik Mohalla, Transport Nagar, Jaipur, Rajasthan.
According to the special cell, Jitender is an active criminal of Paschim Vihar. Since his contact with local criminas in 2011, Jitender has been involved in various criminal cases. He was first arrested by police officials of Sultanpuri in February, 2011 while he was carrying a country made pistol with him. Thereafter, he started indulging in snatchings, robberies and thefts in the area. He got involved in more than 35 cases of attempt to murder, snatching, robbery, hurt and Arms Act etc. He is presently involved in committing extortion, running Satta, liquor and drug rackets, managing cable network in the area of West Delhi by using threat of violence.
In December 2020, Jitender along with his associates Jaikishan, Bhim, Vinod and others fired at Gautam and Arjun both r/o Jwalapuri Camp, Paschim Vihar as he had old enmity with them. When Arjun’s friend came to his rescue, he was also stabbed by his associates. The case was registered in the Paschim Vihar police station. He has been absconding since then
In January, Jitender along with his close associate Jaiskishan and his three others including his girlfriend was rashly driving a Swift car near Corner Market, Malviya Nagar, Delhi. When HC Ramesh of PS Malviya Nagar, who was on patrolling duty near Corner Market Malviya Nagar signalled them to stop, Jitender hit him with his car and tried to sped away from the spot. In this incident, finger of HC Ramesh got stuck in the bonnet of car and he was dragged upto 1km with the car. Thereafter, HC Ramesh was thrown away from the bonnet of the car and accused Jitender alongwith his associates escaped from the spot. HC Ramesh sustained multiple injuries in the incident.
