Dr. Madhumita Balaji takes over as President of PFWS

New Delhi, July 3
Dr. Madhumita Balaji officially assumed the charge of President, Police Families Welfare Society in the advent of the new Chief Patron of PFWS.
Madhumita is wife of new Delhi Police Commu, Balaji Shrivastav who took charge of CP Delhi on June 30.
DCP Welfare Asif Mohd. Ali welcomed the new president the officer chamber of at PFWS at 17, Mother Teresa Crescent Road.
The new President was apprised on the welfare activities undertaken by PFWS.
The President interacted with the senior Team Leaders and Delhi Police officials of Welfare Unit alongwith Anjitha Chepyala, Addl. DCP, New Delhi Dist.in an ice-breaking interactive session where the core members of the society introduced themselves. On this occasion, four new team leaders also joined PFWS and gave assurance to contribute their time and support to the organization.
The President, PFWS emphasized on the need for welfare and urged every member of the society to consider it as a necessity and not as an option. She has also expressed her gratitude to the former PFWS Presidents who have contributed in making PFWS a successful organization and also hope that they continue to shower their blessings, support and guidance to PFWS in the times to come. She also welcomed the new members into the society and motivated to work collectively towards securing welfare of the families and personnel of Delhi Police in the backdrop of on-going Covid pandemic scenario.
All the members present in the meeting also observed two minutes of silence in honour of the 79 police personnel and 195 members of our police families who have lost their lives fighting with Covid-19.
