Faridabad police officer bludgeoned to death by a man who was asked to stop roaming on streets

A police official of Faridabad Police was bludgeoned to death at the Surajkund roundabout when he asked a man to stop roaming on the streets and go home.
The police man was identified as SPO Mohanlal (42) who was a resident of Ratta Khera in Sirsa district and was serving at the Surajkund police station.
The accused has been identified as Santosh (24), a resident of Mitrol of Palwal who now lives in Pahladpur in Delhi.
The police stated that Santosh was allegedly roaming around hurling abuses near the roundabout when SPO Mohanlal asked him to go home. When he was talking on the phone, the accused allegedly picked up a tile and hit the SPO on his head.
Mohanlal was taken to a hospital, but the doctor declared him dead on arrival.
Faridabad Commissioner of Police Vikas Kumar Arora said Mohanlal lost his life in the line of duty. An insurance policy will be given to his family as financial assistance.
