Fire breaks out malkhana at Wazirabad torching over 300 seized vehicles
Out of the 345 gutted vehicles, 260 were two-wheelers while 85 were cars : Police

New Delhi, April 7
Fire broke out at a Delhi police storage area (malkhana) in Wazirabad area of North East Delhi in which 345 vehicles were gutted.
The fire officials said that a call was received at 4:30 on April 6, following which seven fire tenders were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Out of the 345 gutted vehicles, 260 were two-wheelers while 85 were cars, the officials informed.
This is also the second time fire broke out at a malkhana in the past three days, the first incident being at a Delhi Traffic Police PIT in Nehru Place, leading to about 100 vehicles being gutted. The reason of that fire has still not been ascertained.
