Former Army man kills wife in Hyderabad, chops body, attempt to boil in cooker
Former Army man presently working as security guard claimed it was a sudden provocation
New Delhi, January 23
Former Army man from Hyderabad allegedly killed his wife, dismembered her body, and boiled the parts in a pressure cooker before dumping them in a lake.
The crime came to light after the woman’s parents filed a missing person report with police.
The victim was identified 35-year-old Venkat Madhavi. Her husband, Gurumurthy, former Army personnel.
Gurumurthy, a native of Prakasam district and a former Army personnel, was employed as a security guard at Kanchanbagh.
The Hyderabad police believed that Gurumurthy killed his wife over suspicion.
The police said Gurumurthy said he killed his wife on sudden provocation when his wife demanded to go to her native place in Nandyal.
However, the body is yet to be found and investigation is in progress.
