Four shot dead in a group fight in Gurdaspur over rivalry

Four people were shot dead and eight injured in Gurdaspur district after two groups of villagers opened fire at each other apparently over an old rivalry.
The police stated incident occurred in Batala's Vithwan village where a group of over two dozen people were involved in the fight.
The police added that two people each from both groups died in the firing.
The police have registered an FIR and said further investigation into the incident was on.
