Gangster Sukha Duneke killed in inter gang war in Canada

Wanted by National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Sukhdool Singh Gill alias Sukha Duneke, an alleged ally of the Bambiha gang was shot dead in Canada’s Winnipeg by unidentified assailants.
Duneke, a dreaded gangster was wanted in Punjab in cases of extortion, attempt to murder and murder.
He had fled to Canada in 2017, and had since been running an extortion racket. He was on number 33 as wanted gangster in a list of 40 persons released by the NIA for allegedly being involved in terror-related activities.
Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, in a social media post, claimed responsibility for Duneke’s death. The post stated that Duneke was involved in the murder of Vicky Middukhera, Sandeep Naggal Ambian and Gurlal BrarBrar, the latter was cousin of gangster Goldy Brar.
The Bambiha gang has rivalry with the Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar gangs, police said.
Duneke is also an accused in the killing of Kabaddi player Sandeep Naggal Ambian, who was shot dead during a kabaddi match in March 2022 in Punjab’s Mallian village. It was alleged that he had provided the hideout to the killers at a relative’s home in Amritsar.
In June last year, Punjab Police's Anti-Gangster Task Force had registered an FIR against two (AGTF) for helping Duneke get a passport. In 2017, when Duneke had applied for the passport, two policemen who submitted his police verification report and criminal history were allegedly negligent in their duty and did not report all the cases registered against him.
