GPCSSI a flagship event of Gurugram Police, was started in 2013 with 22 interns. Only 100 interns have been selected for this exclusive programme out of over 9000 applicants. The participants have different academic qualifications ranging from law to engineering to mass communication.
The month long programme is a mix of practical learning through field exposure, project work and classroom/interactive sessions with subject/industry experts.
The rising use of technology in conventional crime as well as the proliferation of cyber crime has necessitated that the police invest in capacity building as well as increasing public awareness.
GPCSSI aims to expose students to cyber crime, digital forensics, police processes and latest technologies in the field of cyber security to develop them into proponents of cyber safety for Gurugram Police.
