Gurugram Police arrests social media influencer who hit ACP Crime Varun Dahiya with his car

The Gurugram police arrested a social media influencer who hit Gurugram ACP Varun Dahiya last month with his car when the officer tries to stop him.
The accused was identified as Tarun Chauhan, was arrested from Hayatpur Mor after reaming absconding for several days. Chauhan is a social media influencer and YouTuber who posts videos of car stunts online.
As per the case details, on January 17, Gurgaon ACP (Crime) Varun Dahiya was headed to the Commissioner’s office along with an inspector when they spotted a black Scorpio outside a shop in Garhi Hasru. The SUV looked similar to the one he had seen in a few videos of a man performing car stunts on the roads of Gurgaon.
The police officials stopped to click photos of the vehicle when a man emerged from the shop, informing them that he was the son of a special police officer (SPO) in Haryana Police. Soon, the SPO arrived at the spot and, in a bid to chastise his son, slapped him across the face. Infuriated, the man got inside the car and sped off, hitting Dahiya in the process.
The ACP was taken to Medanta Hospital later where he was hospitalized for three days.
The accused had earlier been charged in another case related to a brawl in Gurugram. The Scorpio used in the incident has also been seized from the possession of the accused, police added.
The police have registered an FIR under IPC sections 186, 332 and 353.
