Hashim Baba gang member neutralized in an encounter in Meerut
He came out on parole in 2021 and then went into hiding in Meerut, living under different names to avoid tracking

In a joint operation by the Delhi and Uttar Pradesh police force, an associate of dreaded gangster Hashim Baba was gunned down in an encounter shooting at UP’s Meerut.
The deceased was identified as Sonu Matka who hails from East Gokalpur in Delhi.
He had allegedly shot dead a property dealer and his nephew on Diwali this year. He was also wanted in the Karol Bagh robbery of Rs 1.5 crore in 2022.
The police that he was critically injured after six- rounds of fire exchange in Meerut’s TP Nagar area and he succumbed to injuries at a hospital.
He came out on parole in 2021 and then went into hiding in Meerut, living under different names to avoid tracking. He kept coming back to Loni and Delhi for conducting criminal activities, police added.
