New Delhi, April 14
The Delhi Police South District arrested a historysheeter wanted in the MCOCA Act and a member of Thak Thak gang.
The accused was identified as P Chandru Paneer Selvam (23) from Madangir. Age-23 years.
The officials stated that a police team of Lodhi Colony police station had increased the patrolling at the vulnerable areas at different time slots for prevention and detection in the area.
The police team received information regarding movement of one person who was wanted in a MCOCA case and always carried fire arms for committing crime.
The officials added that a trap was laid near Church on Lodhi Road and successfully apprehended the accused. A country made loaded pistol was seized from the accused.
P Chandru was booked under Section 25, 54, 59 of the Arms Act at Lodhi Colony police station.
The police added that he was previously found to be involved in eight cases of robbery/theft/snatching registered at different police stations.
The police are further investigating the case
