ILLICIT LIQUOR SMUGGLER NAMELY ARRESTED IN DWARKA
New Delhi, March 11
The Delhi Police Dwarka District held an alleged liquor smuggler in Dwarka when he was reportedly found sneaking out with the liquor consignment.
The accused was identified as Avinash Tiwari (26) of Vikas Kunj in Mohan Garden.
The police officials stated that a team that was on patrol duty found a vehicle in suspicious condition and upon checking they found liquor hidden in the vehicle. The accused allegedly tried to escape but he was apprehended.
The police added that the police team found a total of 3000 quarters of illicit liquor in the vehicle. The vehicle Tata Ace with registration no. DL1LP3348 was also seized by police.
The police have registered a case under the Excise Act and taken up further investigations.
