Sanjoy Roy made a controversial statement reportedly during the test that when he entered the seminar room, the victim was lying dead

New Delhi, August 27

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probing the rape-murder of trainee doctor of RG Kar Medical College conducted a polygraph test on main accused Sanjay Roy. Roy made shocking revelations during he test and appeared nervous and anxious.

The polygraph test was conducted at Kolkata's Presidency jail in the presence of forensic experts.

Roy made a controversial statement reportedly during the test that when he entered the seminar room, the victim was lying dead. He ran away in fear. He allegedly cited multiple alibis when the agency confronted him with several pieces of evidence.

The psychoanalytical test of Roy had shown that he has “animal like instincts” and he is a 'porn addict".

This came as a shock to the investigators as Roy had had confessed to committing the rape and murder, during his arrest by Kolkata police. He is a porn addict and police found multiple porn videos and his part cases of crimes against women registered in various police stations of Kolkata. However, he took a U-turn later and claimed he was being framed and that he was innocent.

Roy was arrested by the Kolkata police on August 10, a day after the body of the 31-year-old postgraduate trainee medical student was found in the seminar hall of the medical college. Roy was arrested based on CCTV footage and a Bluetooth device found near the medic's body.

The CCTV footage reportedly showed Roy entering the emergency building at 4am on the day of the incident, wearing a bluetooth device. When he left 40 minutes later, the device was missing. It was later found near the victim’s body. The police paired it with Roy's cellphone and thus linked him to the crime.

The CBI has sought permission from the court to put seven people including Roy and former RG Kar Medical College and Hospital Principal, Sandip Ghosh through the lie detector test. The results of the test cannot be used as evidence during the trial but findings give the agency a direction for the further probe.
