Man who saved cricket Rishabh Pant's life attempts suicide with girlfriend, girl dies

A man who saved Rishabh Pant’s life after the cricketer met with an accident in November 2022, allegedly tried to die by suicide along with his girlfriend in Uttar Pradesh.
The man has been identified as Rajat Kumar and his girlfriend as Manu Kashyap, 21. While Kumar is stable and recovering but the woman, succumbed to death.
The police stated that the incident occurred at Buchha Basti village of Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar district in the intervening night of February 10 and 11. They were informed about the incident on February 13 following the death of Kashyap at a Roorkee hospital.Her body was sent for post-mortem.
The police added that the couple wanted to marry each other but their families were opposed to their relationship.
