MHA orders for speedy clearance of medical reimbursement of para military forces

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) that has been receiving numerous inquiries from the personnel of the para military forces flr reimbursement claims has ordered the Director Medical of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) to inform it about the number of complaints with regard to delay in condoning medical reimbursement claims under the Ayushman CAPF schemes.
The MHA has been receiving complaints that from CAPFs personnel that their medical bills for reimbursement take more than 180 days for clearance.
The CAPFs- RPF, BSF, SSB, ITBP, CISF, Assam Rifles, and National Security Guard (NSG) in this regard. All the forces together have around 9-lakh personnel.
The order has asked to find out the number of complaints with regard to the medical claims and their percentage vis a vis total number of claims in 2022-23; and the probable reasons behind delays and suggestions to to reduce complaints.
It has further told the concerned authorities that now an individual should be allowed to upload his documents and necessary changes be made on NHA IT-portal to upload documents even after six months.
