NFSU launches cyber commandos training programme

The programme will provide participants with training in cyber forensics, information security, threat intelligence, and incident response : NFSU

New Delhi, October 17

The National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) launched its pioneering cyber commandos training programme.

The programme has been initiated in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), aims to cultivate cyber security experts equipped to tackle the rising challenges of cybercrime.

The inauguration event of the training programme was attended by Special Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Devesh Srivastava, NFSU director Dr Purvi Pokhriyal, assistant professor Dr Minakshi Sinha and Col Arvind Kumar, director of training at Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre.

The NFSU informed that the programme will provide participants with training in cyber forensics, information security, threat intelligence, and incident response. The curriculum is designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical skills, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to address the challenges of the cyber domain.

As part of the programme, participants can collaborate with industry experts from various sectors, including fintech, telecommunications, and IoT.This will enable them to develop a deep understanding of the real-world threats and vulnerabilities faced by cybersecurity framework of organisations, officials added.
