NIA chargesheets two terrorists of United National Liberation Front (UNLF) in attack on security forces in Imphal case

The NIA filed chargesheet in the NIA Special Court, Manipur, at Imphal against two terrorists of United National Liberation Front (UNLF) in attack on security forces in Imphal case.
The two were identified as Lisham Ibosana Meitei and Konsam Manithoi Singh who have been booked under sections 120B, 307 of IPC, Sections 16, 18, 20 and 38 of UA(P) Act, 1967 and Section 4 of Explosive Substances Act, 1908 in RC-06/2021/NIA-DLI.
The case was initially registered as FIR No. 11(01)2021 dated 19.01.2021 u/s 16(1)(b) and 20 of UA(P) Act and Section 4 of Explosive Substances Act, 1908 at City Police Station, District- Imphal West, Manipur relating to lobbing of hand grenade by unknown persons at security forces at Raj Bhavan Gate in Imphal.
The NIA had re-registered the case in March 2021 and taken up investigation.
The NIAinvestigation has revealed that the chargesheeted accused persons were part of deep rooted conspiracy to execute terrorist acts with aim to terrorise the general population and to wage war against the Indian State.
This act was carried out by the accused persons on the direction of hierarchy of UNLF, who had arranged explosive materials for them.
The NIA is further investigating the case.
