New Delhi, October 4
The Noida Police arrested an imposter posing Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) and Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW) officer to dupe police.
The police have identified her as Zoya Khan who posed ad R&AW and ACB official threatened to implicate the station house officer (SHO) of Noida Sector 142 police station in a false case if he did not frame the sister-in-law of her accomplice, in the murder of her husband, who had allegedly jumped to death last year.
During questioning, Khan told police that the brother of her accomplice Gaurav Aggarwal’s wife had died in Noida after falling from the seventh floor last year. Khan downloaded the Magic Call app. She then used the CUG numbers of ACB and R&AW officers to make spoofing calls in which the caller can change his identity to the SHO to gather information about the murder probe and also wanted the SHO to frame the wife of the deceased.
Ironically, she had failed to qualify for UPSC earlier.
Khan was booked by the CBI under Section 351(3) (criminal intimidation) of the BNS and IT Act on August 27.
