A POCSO case survivor was found dead with a belt tightened around her neck in Idukki district of Kerala.
The victim was a 19-year-old girl, a survivor in a POCSO case registered two years ago.
The police stated that the girl was found dead on her bed in the house by a relative. Family members thought she was sleeping in the room. They opened the door when their repeated calls went unanswered. They found a belt tightly circled around the neck.
The police called forensic experts to ascertain the cause of death and sent her body for autopsy. The police stated that a case would be registered according to the findings of the forensic report.
