POLICE BUSTED DACOITY GANG BEFORE THEY STRUCK

New Delhi, March 9

The South East District has arrested four notorious dacoits who allegedly attempted to strike in the city but nibbed at the bud.

The accused were identified as Danihal (20) from UP,  Mukim Khan (21) of  Sarita Vihar, Mohd Arshad (21) and Kushal Ahmad (20) of Shaheen Bagh. 

The police seized one stolen Honda City car, three firearms with six live cartridges from their possession.

DCP (South East), RP Meena stated that the accused planned a dacoity in Okhla Tank Road.

The South East Delhi Police's special team was zeroing on loot and dacoity cases while they received information that some unknown persons were found to be seen in forest of Okhla Tank Road. 

The police was are having one stolen car and were allegedly seen carrying firearms with them. The team conducted a raid at forest area of Okhla Tank Road when the accused tried to flee. However the police arrested them. 

The police have booked the accused under Section 399, 402, 411 of the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act. 

The officials stated that athe accused disclosed that they along with their two other associates were planning for doing dacoity at Okhla Tank Road Forest area. Danihal and Kushal Ahmad revealed that they have brought the firearms from one their known persons in Sambhal of Uttar Pradesh. 

The police are further investigating the case.
