While the outrage against the minor son of the builder Vishal Agarwal is high, the an apparent connection of the Agarwal family with Dwaood Ibrahim's aide Chhota Rajan. The minor accused's grandfather is reportedly facing trial in a shootout case for allegedly making payments to gangster Chhota Rajan.
The minor boy's grandfather Surendra Agrawal had reportedly sought aide of underworld don Chotta Rajan in a land dispute with his brother RK Agrawal.
The grandson of Surendra Agrawal had killed tow techies in Pune with his speeding Porche and he was granted bail by the Juvenile Justice Board in 14 hours. The bail conditions especially writing a 300 word essay on road accidents in India sparked massive outrage in the country demanding justice and questioning the bail.
The boy, who was drunk at the time of accident, was granted bail by Juvenile Justice Board on a surety of Rs 7,500. Now, it has come to the fore that his grnasfather Surendra Agrawal also gave assurance to the JJ Board to keep him away from bad company, as per the order.
SK Agarwal is implicated in a case involving a property dispute with his brother, RK Agarwal, which allegedly led to collaboration with Chhota Rajan's criminal network. The incident reportedly involved an attempt on the life of Ajay Bhosale, a friend of RK Agarwal, resulting in injuries to Ajay Bhosale's driver.
The incident was initially registered at Bund Garden police station in Pune, implicating SK Agarwal and Chhota Rajan for conspiracy to commit murder. It is alleged that SK Agarwal even traveled to Bangkok to meet with Chhota Rajan's henchman, Vijay Purushottam Salvi alias Vijay Tambat, in an attempt to settle the property dispute.
All cases related to Chhota Rajan have been consolidated and are being investigated by the CBI, with a special trial court in Mumbai designated to hear them. SK Agarwal's case from Pune is among those being tried alongside Rajan since 2021.
Investigators stated that SK Agarwal was never arrested till the filing of the chargesheet and the case was registered under the ordinary sections of Indian Penal Code.
SK Agarwal, who is currently out on bail, attended a trial hearing on May 6, where evidence from key witnesses was presented.
The outrage led to the arrest of teen's father Vishal Agrawal had fled from Pune and found in Aurangabad from where he was arrested.
