Renukaswamy Murder Case- Autopsy report shows 15 injuries, electric shocks and dog eaten body

Kannada actor Darshan Thogudeepa, his partner Pavithra Gowda are among 17 people arrested in connection with Renukaswamy's murder

New Delhi, June 17

The Renukaswamy murder is churning out ghory details as investigation proceeded in the case; now the details of the autopsy report of the deceased show he was tortured with electric shocks before his death. Renukaswamy, a fan of Kannada actor Darshan Thogudeepa was brutally murdered after being tortured. 

Darshan and his actor friend Pavithra Gowda are among 17 people arrested in connection with Renukaswamy's murder.

The post mortem report showed that the victim died due to shock and haemorrhage. There was bleeding in his hands, feet, back and chest. He died of blood clots due to the severe assault. He was assaulted using a wooden stick and a belt. Additionally, the post-mortem report have revealed that dogs had eaten the man’s face and some parts of his dead body. The victim had 15 injuries on his body. 

The police stated that Dhanraj, a cable worker from Mandya, revealed details about the torture. Dhanraj was allegedly called to a godown in Bengaluru by another accused, Nandish, where they planned to use an electrical megger to shock Renukaswamy. The police have seized the device.

Renukaswamy, an autorickshaw driver and a member of actor Darshan's fanclub in Chitradurga district, was allegedly kidnapped on June 8 after sending derogatory messages to Pavithra Gowda. His body was later found near Bengaluru.

A car allegedly used in the abduction was also seized by police. The vehicle was found parked at a house in Ayyanahalli village in Chitradurga district. Ravi, one of the suspects, allegedly left the car there. Several items were confiscated from the vehicle after interrogating Ravi’s family, police added.
