Retd IAS officer's wife found dead in Lucknow in an robbery case

DN Dubey, Former District Magistrate of Rae Bareli had gone to play golf when the robbers entered the home, killed his wife before robbery

New Delhi, May 27

Wife of retired IAS officer Devendra Nath Dubey was found dead at their Lucknow house that was robbed. 

The police stated that DN Dubey, Former District Magistrate of Rae Bareli had gone to play golf when the incident occurred. 

His wife Mohni Dubey was found lying dead on the floor with a noose around her neck. 

The police said that the incident took place at a posh colony in Sector 22 in Indira Nagar area of Lucknow.

He also told police that he had gone to play golf and when he returned he found his house unlocked from inside some jewellery and other valuables were stolen as he saw the almirah open and a lot of other items strewn on the floor. The robber also ripped off the CCTV-DVR system and took it away with them, fearing it might help the police in tracing them.

The police and forensic teams rushed to the spot. The police have collected samples for forensic probe and also conducted a check through the dog squad, 

The police are collecting CCTV grabs from the cameras installed in the society to ascertain their identities.
