Seven chidlren injured in Delhi Cantt area as mini bus hits their school van

New Delhi, October 18

Seven school children along with their van driver were injured after their vehicle was hit by a mini school bus in Delhi Cantonment 

All the children aged six to seven years, study at Kendriya Vidyalaya and were returning home when the mini bus hit their van on October 17 afternoon. 

The mini school bus driver was identified as Naveen Singh (25) who had fled the spot after the incident. The police traced and arrested him later. 

The police stated that the driver of the mini bus, belonging to a private school, was allegedly speeding and driving on the wrong side when he hit the van in front of Radha Krishna Mandir, Sadar Bazaar road.

The police were informed thorough a PCR call at 1.18 pm. The van was completely damaged from the front and its driver and children were injured, police found out when they rushed to the spot. The children were rushed to Army Cantt Hospital and their parents were informed, who took them to other hospitals. All children were out of danger.
