Terminal 1 roof collapse- Delhi Police files FIR against unknown persons

New Delhi, June 29

After the tragic roof collapse at the terminal 1 of the Delhi India Gandhi Airport that killed one innocent cab driver and injured four others, the Delhi police have filed an FIR unknown persons.

The incessant pre monsoon rains in Delhi arrived on June 28 wee hours leading to major chaos, water logging and the tragic incident at the airport. The roof collapsed on a cab where the driver was sitting inside after dropping his passengers at the airport. 

While the BJP blamed the Congress for building the roof in 2009, the Congress and AAP blamed the BJP for inaugurating the portion of the Terminal 1 airport; the roof of which collapsed on June 28. 

Following the incident, several flights from Terminal 1 were cancelled, and many other services have been shifted to other terminals.

The Minister of Civil Aviation, Ram Mohan Naidu, said in a statement, "All flights scheduled to depart from Terminal 1 till 2 pm have been cancelled. Flights scheduled to depart after 2 pm will be operated from Terminal 2 and 3'. Naidu also visited the spot and took stock of the situation.
