Three masked men open fire at Mahindra showroom in Hisar deamanding Rs. 5 crore extortion sum

New Delhi, July 27

Three masked men opened fire outside the Mahindra showroom in Hisar of Haryana. 

The showroom is owned by Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) leader Ram Bhagat Gupta.

The attackers after firing several shots in air and creating terror, left behind a handwritten slip, demanding Rs 5 crore from the owner of the showroom.

The entire incident has been captured on CCTV footage that showed how three assailants arrived on a bike, fired multiple shots in air and fled after leaving a note. 

The police rushed to the spot and found 30 rounds were fired, which shattered the glass at the front of the showroom. A bullet also hit the windshield of a car.

A day after the incident, traders held a meeting and demanded swift action from the police. The meeting was presided over by Haryana Pradesh Beopar Mandal’s president, Bajrang Garg.

The Hisar police have filed an FIR under Sections 307 (attempt to murder), 506 (criminal intimidation), 387 (extortion) under the IPC and Arms Act.
